I love making mini-albums and I've been busy making books ever since I found this new book making technique.
This book is not really an album but more of a journal.
I cover breakfast cereal boxes with paper and then ink the paper with Distress Ink. When that is dry I used a stencil and Texture Paste. I add some paint highlights and seal it with matte sealer.
For this cover I used a dragonfly die as a stencil and then used more Texture Paste. The die has been in my collection for about five years and this is the first time that I've used it.
I made six signatures from tea dyed papers. The signatures were bound into the book using a stitched book binding technique.
Waxed linen was used to stitch the book and then I used some left-over beads to finish off the braid.
I used bits and pieces of paper and beads in making this book so today I'm joining the Snippets Challenge #170 over at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.
I'm also entering this in
Darnell's NBUS Challenge #4.
The challenge is to use a Never-Before-Used-Stuff in your creation.

Great little book. I always fancy making books but never do it. Using a cereal packet is a good tip.
