A Masculine Card Made Using Retiform Technique
I tried a new technique this week. The Retiform Technique.
I used a blank piece of card stock as my background. Post a Notes are used to block off sections of the card. I used my distress inks and a dauber to color the blocked off section. Repeat this step to section off the entire card front.
I used the same pieces of Post a Notes to again block off the inked sections and this time I stamped an image in each section.
If this technique looks like something you would be interested in trying, I suggest you check out this tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers. It shows step by step how to make a card using the Retiform Technique.

Bokeh, Sequins And Layered Die-Cuts
This card was made with a background created by using the Bokeh technique. I used circle stencils in two different sizes and the little blue dots were made using a pencil eraser as a stamp.
I had some very old designer paper that I knew I would never use so I used my Cricut to cut out the THANKS sentiment from the back side of the paper. I now have about three dozen of these sentiments to use.
The Thanks for this card was made by gluing four die-cuts together and then coloring the top layer with an ink pad.
Have a great day!

Want To See Another Book?
If you've been following my blog then you've probably noticed that for the past few Sundays I've shared one of the new books that I've made.
Well, today is Sunday and I'm sharing my new "Travel Journal'.
You've probably already guessed that the base of this book is made out of a breakfast cereal box. I don't eat cereal so I want to thank my friends who have been saving those boxes for me.
All of the embellishments on the cover were left over bits and pieces from previous craft projects.
I'm joining the challenge over at Pixie's Playground. You really should click on the highlighted link and visit the playground and see all the entries in this challenge.
Thanks so much for visiting today, and have a great day/

Sharing Another Bokeh Card
Today I'm sharing another card that I made using the Bokeh technique.
The picture below shows my finished card.
Here you can see that I trimmed the stamped sentiment. The flowers were punched from scrap card stock and you can see the second layer of the flower is Bokeh printed paper that was trimmed off the card.
The photo below shows the background before trimming.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

It's Journal Time
Today I'm sharing another one of the journals that I made this winter.
On a recent shopping trip to Hobby Lobby I found all of the paper flower embellishments that were used and the little paper doily and the heart shaped frame. The lace, the ribbon for the closure and the large silk flower were all part of a package of blog candy that I won.
I made this journal larger so that 8 1/2" by 11" sheets of tea dyed paper could be used. There are five signatures in this journal.
Hope you have a great day. Leave me a comment and let me know if you like the new book.
