I needed a birthday card for a friend who loves flowers.
The large rolled flower in the center was made by cutting out the flower shapes and then spraying them with water. Scrunched them into a ball and then unfolded them and shaped and colored the edges. After they dried, I glued the layers together and used liquid pearl for the center. If you're interested in making flowers like these, check out this video by Mynn Kitchen from The House Of Cards Challenge Blog.
I used snippets of card to make the leaves and the butterfly. I used my new Petite Petals stamp and punch to make the small flowers from even more snippets of paper.
I used the Cricut and my new Fancy Frames cartridge to cut the background.
I'm entering this card in the Pixie's Snippets Playground, Challenge #184
Thanks for visiting my blog today. Have a great day!

This is such a pretty card. I love the die cut oval and pure white butterfly. Thanks for the link to make the flowers. Yours is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteSaw this in the Playground Kathy and had to come over to take a closer look. I just love it! Clean and simple but love that texture and the flowers Karen
ReplyDeleteSaw this beauty at the Snippets Playground, and zipped over for a closer look. My goodness, it's just so beautiful; love the delicate white background die, layered with the lovely oval and the butterfly. These flowers are just too lovely....the pink shading over the white blooms is certainly stunning. TFS the link, which I'll check out. You did a fantastic job on this one...those flowers look so very real. Congrats on being highlighted at the Playground! Well deserved. TFS
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty! I love the way you made the flower. I will check out Mynn's video...sounds good. I used to make some sort of like this with pages cut from books. Sort of recycled flowers...lol Yours is so pretty and love that sentiment.
ReplyDeleteSorry your tag and die took so long to get there. I am glad you like it...I bought one for me too and have yet to give it a try. I want to make it into a tag that sits on a card!
Wow Kathy what a stunning design.
